Twitter cofounder Ev Williams says the company, which has lost of its
market value over the last couple years, should consider all options,
including potentially selling or going private.
Williams told Bloomberg that Twitter has the potential to be much more valuable than it is now, but requires more innovation.
It’s clearly what investors want: the only time Twitter’s share price
has jumped up is when there is speculation of a potential takeover.
Williams’ words, while vague, were no exception—the stock rose 5%.
Gaining only three million new active users over three months, Twitter
seems unable to turn a profit—the company lost more than $100 million
last quarter.
